Stella L. Jensen was a community leader, born in 1882. She and her husband settled in San Mateo County in 1903. Ms. Jensen is principally remembered for her work as one of the driving forces behind the establishment of Jefferson Union High School of which she was a charter member of the Board. She also served on the San Mateo Junior College Board of Trustees and the County Grand Jury. Her work for the Girl’s Club of Colma is also well remembered.
