Carol Story Boes

CAROL STORY BOES graduated first in her high school class, became a flight attendant to see the world, moved to California, and got married. Still flying, she earned her B.A. and Master’s degrees in Urban Planning. Continuing as a full time flight attendant and managing a household with two stepsons, she completed law school and passed the Bar in three years. In addition to her law practice in real estate and business law, her community activities in the city of San Mateo have included Board memberships on the Human Investment Project, Leadership San Mateo, the Rotary Club, the Chamber of Commerce and the Housing Advisory and Appeals Board. She also served on the San Mateo Planning Commission, was chair of the County Bar Association Real Estate Section and is on the Community Advisory Committee for the Breast Center at Mills Peninsula and the County Charter review Committee. In 1985, she received the Golden Gears Award from the Peninsula Industrial and business Association
