Olive Graham Mayer

works for a better environment for every human being. Currently, she serves on the National Advisory Council for the National Sierra Club. Ms. Mayer has worked endless hours protecting the local environment. She campaigned for the establishment of the Coastal Commission and was a committee leader of Mid-Peninsula Open Space District. Previous to her pursuit of environmental affairs, she was among the first women engineers in the Bay Area and an early participant in the Society of Women Engineers. Olive Graham Mayer also found the time to become deeply involved in pursuit of world peace. She assembled a portable gallery, A Display to Advance Peace which was displayed in communities. Ms. Mayer also edited a film entitled Tomorrow’s Children, which vividly pictured the crisis of human population. Among her many activities, she served on the Woodside Town Council.
