Evelyn Filice Stanton

EVELYN FILICE STANTON of Foster City. Ms. Stanton is the Executive Director of the Mental Health Association. She is responsible for the Spring Street Shelter which opened in Redwood City in April of 1986, which provides shelter for the homeless mentally ill. But this is only the noticeable in this list is that she has risen to leadership roles in all of her affiliations. She has served as the President or a Board member in the following organizations: United Way of the Bay Area, Mills/Peninsula Hospital Board of Trustees, Belmont Hills Psychiatric Center, National, State and Local Officer for AAUW, a Trustee for the AAUW Education Foundation, San Mateo County League of Women Voters, Family Services, American Heart Association , Poplar Center for the Developmentally Disabled, Hillsborough Concours D’Elegance, San Mateo High School and Crock Middle School Parent Groups, Admiralty Homeowner Association and the Citizen Task Force to study county government operations in 1975-1977. In her honor, Stanton has earned a bachelors degree from UC Berkeley and a secondary teaching credential from San Francisco State University.
