EVELYN TAYLOR-HAMER of Foster City is principal of Nroth Shoreview School in San Mateo and founder of Samaritan House programs of North Shoreview School. The feeds the hungry and homeless. She is coordinator of the Newground scholarship program for black students, active in Latinos Unidos and a member of the board of directors of Peninsula Habitat of Humanity. Her life is testimony to her commitment to children and to a belief in a better future. She is tenacious in her personal efforts to improve the lives of those who need help and inspiration for others to join in her humane outreach.
