Chow Chow Imamoto R.N., P.H.N.,

CHOW CHOW IMAMOTO, R.N., P.H.N., graduated from University of California School of Nursing and practiced holistic health nursing in San Mateo. Through the California Nurses Association, she was instrumental in getting holistic health into mainstream nursing and developing guidelines for this practice. She served the American Red Cross for more than 25 years, & pioneered development of childbirth classes and taught them for 23 years. Many aspects of the early scene of Planned Parenthood and promoting health within the juvenile facilities relating to nutrition, sex, drugs, and alcohol are part of her story. A resident of San Mateo for 30 years, she and her late husband, Arthur, raised 2 boys.
