Daniela Gasparini

Daniela Gasparini balances an amazing professional life and volunteerism with “warmth, generosity, a positive attitude, dynamic energy and an unselfish, giving heart.” Daniela was the first female executive in Sequoia YMCA, Redwood City history serving as Executive Director, from June 1986 to May 1996. Since 1996, Daniela has been Vice-President of Bay Area Bank, Greater Bay Bancorp in Redwood City where she is responsible for business development; marketing and communications; and expanding an maintaining a $24 million portfolio while maintaining community and government relations. Daniela’s list of volunteer experience demonstrates a wide range of interests and concerns including Boys and Girls Clubs of the Peninsula; Sequoia Awards; Rebuilding Together, Youth and Family Enrichment Services; Habitat for Humanity; San Mateo County History Museum; American Heart Association and San Mateo County Community College District Foundation, to name a few Daniela served as Mayor and City Council Member of Redwood City from 1922-1995 and hosts “Community Connections” on Peninsula TV. She was named Redwood City/ San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce Person of the year in 1997; Athena Business Woman of the Year in 1998; and Kainos Home and Training Center Angel Award in 2003. She is passionate about family, friends and community and clearly has made a huge difference to all three.
