MARILYNN MC CORMICK’S interest in the area of alcohol and drug abuse began when she volunteered for the California Woman’s Commission on Alcoholism as Secretary. She helped in the establishment of the first live-in woman’s alcohol rehabilitation home in Oakland worked with the Emergency Shelter Systems in Hayward for battered women and served on the Board of Horizon Services. After developing a number of businesses, Ms. McCormick began working in the school & drug abuse field at a Bay Area Psychiatric facility in Public Relations and Industrial Relations and is now employed at Peninsula Hospitals Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Center as Pre-Admit Counselor/Family Interventionist. She has 2 sons and 2 granddaughters.
