Mary Hochreiter Janney

MARY HOCHREITER JANNEY, widowed at a relatively young age, made the transition from housewife, mother and volunteer to full-time career woman raising two sons. A teacher, she has also worked with PTA’s at all levels, receiving a PTA Honorary Life membership. She served eight years on the Burlingame School District Board of Trustees, and six years on the San Mateo High School Board of Trustees. Active as a political consultant in numerous campaigns, Mary worked as an aide to Supervisor Mary Griffin. Her many Board affiliations include the San Mateo County School Board Association, League of Women Voters, American Association of University Women, San Mateo Chamber of Commerce, Burlingame Rotary and Chamber of Commerce. A survivor of breast cancer, she has served on the American Cancer Society Board. She is presently director of a seniors living center.
