Bridget Meyer

BRIDGET MEYER is described by her teacher as “someone who always gives 100% and takes an interest in other peoples feelings and concerns.” She is an unselfish person who has had difficulties with her family and finances, and works every day after school to pay her rent. While working and staying active Bridget maintains a 4.0 grade point average and serves as Senior Class Vice President. Bridget volunteers for numerous causes such as Safe Rides, Habitat for Humanity, Aids Awareness, and Outdoor Education, to name just a few. She has provided leadership as Junior Class President, peer counselor, tutor for MESA and belonged to numerous school clubs and committees. Bridget has received awards for: Girls State, Academic Achievement in Geometry and English, Volunteer Work, Best Attendance, Best World Studies, leadership, First Place in Hostage Negotiation, Rotary International, Friend Award and more. She was also chosen Cadet of the Year, in a program where Bridget gives 30 hours a month doing dispatch, ride-alongs and evidence investigations with the local police department. Bridget is Captain of the Redwood City Cadet Program. She plans to attend college, and become an important person in her community so she can give back what the community has given her.
