Nancy Lee Jalonen

NANCY LEE JALONEN has devoted her creative energies to the arts and education. As a producer for KCSM-TV she featured local cultural, educational, and civic organizations in over 450 programs. As a teacher at College of San Mateo she worked with hundreds of students in speech and telecommunication. Continuing her promotion of the local arts as Executive Director of the County Arts Council, she administered 17 programs, originating a music outreach program in all county schools. She has represented the local arts at state and national levels. Currently director of the new Communication Major at College of Notre Dame, she has developed an innovative program involving business and media professionals working with students. Her community activities include serving on Boards of Directors of Theatre Works, SAMPAC, and Dance Action.
