Bonnie Wells

BONNIE WELLS spent the first five years of her life in an orphanage after being abandoned by her birth mother. This period of emotional and material deprivation seared into her mind so powerfully that she has spent the rest of her life professionally and personally helping others in need. For her work with city and county government, United Way of the Bay Area, Seton Medical Center and more, Bonnie has received many awards. The two most recent ones presented in 1997 were Outstanding Pacifica Chamber of Commerce Director and United Way of the Bay Area Volunteer Merit Award. In 1995 Bonnie established the North San Mateo County Leadership Forum, providing upcoming community leaders background on how their communities and the county operate. She also served on the Child Care Coordinating Council of SMC, Inc. from 1986-1995, serving as President from 1990-1992. Without a college degree, Bonnie has earned every step as she climbed the corporate ladder. A woman of extraordinary determination and heart, she is a role model to women to let nothing keep them from reaching their fullest potential while looking out for others along the way.
