Georgette Sarles

Business owner, Georgette Sarles has been a generous and effective advocate for Daly City and San Mateo County through years of community support and service, willingness to share her professional expertise and a 43-year commitment to the Daly City/ Colma Chamber of Commerce.

Georgette recognized the importance of contributing to her community after first opening her beauty supply/ salon business in Westlake Shopping Center at age 19. She has held numerous offices and is currently president of the Westlake Merchants Association. Georgette has lobbied in Sacramento on behalf of the shopping center, the Westlake Neighborhood Association and the City of Daly City for many issues.

Currently Chamber president, Georgette has managed many roles over the years including chairing events such as Kids Don’t Do Drugs (Safety Saturday), volunteering at Seton Medical Center, coordinating Cut-A-Thons for Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, volunteering with Operation Santa Claus, Samaritan House and Salvation Army food drives supporting the Florence Crittendon Foundation for abused women, conducting petting fairs and adoption clinics for Pets in Need and the Peninsula Humane Society.

Georgette is best known for helping others. Her willingness to share her expertise and to work tirelessly for organizations and causes she believes in have made her a leader who is both respected and admired in her community.
