EDNA GRIFFITHS HOLMSTROM of Pacifica. Ms. Holmstrom has served 12 years on the San Mateo County commission on Aging, chairing the Social services Committee and Elder Abuse task force. She has worked actively to establish city childcare in Pacifica. She has devoted 19 years with administrative staffs in public and private schools. Ms. Holmstrom has also helped develop programs for low income, minorities, children and the elderly. Ms. Holmstrom has been active in Seniors in Action Advisory Committee, and serves on the Advisory Committee of the Pacific Resource Center and the Community Advisory Committee of the Pacific Resource Center and the Community Advisory Committee of Seton health Center. She is a member of the North San Mateo County League of Women Voters and the American Association of University Women and received her bachelors degree from Swarthmore College. Ms. Holmstrom was commended in 1986 by the City of Pacifica for her civic contributions. In 1978, she was honored by Volunteer Center of San Mateo County and in 1976 she was the recipient of the Volunteer of the Year Award given by the California parks and Recreation Society.
