Mrs. LW (Racine) McRoskey

Mrs. LW (Racine) McRoskey was a community leader and author who died in 1915. She was an officer of the San Mateo County Civic Center and was appointed chair of the Finance Committee on the first San Mateo County Grand Jury in which women were eligible to serve. McRoskey is best remembered as author of two books. Drift O’Dreams (a collection of poems) and The Missions of California (a study of the history of missions and the Franciscan Fathers).
