MARION CARR RUSSELL is a gifted organizer. In her rural community of Pescadero, she has initiated a grant for the development of the South Coast Community center, and through South Coast Children’s Services, Inc. has provided an on-going pre-school and Summer Recreation Program. She devoted 38 years to teaching and volunteerism. Now in her 70’s, she regularly directs a play school two mornings a week, spending one day working in the high school library, furnishes flowers for the church every Sunday and does numerous volunteer activities in between. She has been married for 44 years and has three children and three grandchildren.
