MARI BAKER began demonstrating her community service in high school, where she led various school and church organizations. She entered Stanford University at age 16 and self-funded her education graduating in 1985 with majors in Economics and Sociology. She spent ten years at Inuit, Inc. rising from Product manager on Quicken to the first woman Senior Vice President. During her tenure at Inuit, she ran many organizations, including marketing, international, human resources and the Consumer Finance Division. She also drove Community service, management training and summer internship efforts. Presently, she is general manager and head Mom of Baby center, Inc. which operates the most highly acclaimed web site for new and expectant parents. In just three years, BabyCenter.com has grown to serve one-third of all pregnant women in the U.S. Mari currently serves on the Board of trustees at Stanford University, the Boards of Peninsula Habitat for Humanity and BigWake, Inc. and is chair of the Finance Council at St. Matthias Church. She recently established a financial aid scholarship at Stanford University in honor of her mother. Mari is married and has two young daughters.
