ERIN LEYDIG is number one in her class at Hillsdale High, has been involved as a class officer in student government all four years, and has earned letters in two sports: swimming and track. She was Hillsdale High’s 1992 delegate to California Girls’ State and was accepted to the Accelerated High School Student Program at U.C. Berkeley. She has participated in the Close Up program to Washington, D.C. and is currently in her tenth year of studying piano. During the last two summers, she and a friend coordinated and ran a Kid’s Camp for three weeks, with an average of 10 kids per day, earning each of them $1,000 towards college expenses. Her many affiliations include Junior Statesmen of America, California Scholarship Federation, Interact, and S.A.G.A, an environmental awareness group.
